Focusing on one breathing method

As I’m sure you know, there are several methods of breathing. If you type ‘breathing methods’ into your search engine, you’ll discover them.
Most people use some of them without realising that they are doing so, depending on the task that they are doing, but there is one particular breath which I have found to be very useful for ‘regulating’ the central nervous system.
If you’re stressed about something, and need to reset your head, there is a particularly good way to calm yourself down known as the ‘physiological sigh’.
How does it work?

Take a deep breath in through the nose until you almost can’t breathe anymore, and then do one short inhale to top the lungs up; your lungs should now be expanded to the maximum.
Breathe out normally through your mouth. Repeat a few times, if you wish to.
You will find many videos on the subject on Youtube by people such as Dr. Andrew Huberman and James Nestor.
James Drewe teaches Tai Chi and Qigong in both London and in Kent and online.
Details of weekly classes both live and online can be found on the website, and there are classes for 2-person Tai Chi on one Saturday a month.
You can also learn both tai chi & qigong through a monthly subscription, and there are also many free videos on YouTube.
